Barabossa's Treasure ~ A Dragon's Quest

Last weekend we enjoyed our 4th and final RP installment of the Barabossa's Treasure Scenario.

And what an amazing final chapter this turned out to be!!

This RP scenario turned out to be full of surprises too.

Faction members registered for the RP fun before the event, and the Pirates, RAN & RAA were represented.

The action took place in Montego Bay, where the Dragon was guarding the treasure.
But instead of being intimidated by a terrifying, fire breathing beast, we were greeted by an adorable Baby Dragon. This dear little Baby looked so very cute, and I wondered how anyone could possibly take a shot at it? ( It looked like it just needed a hug.)

But, the Baby Dragon WAS shot, and then the most amazing thing happened.....

The Baby plunged into the Ocean, and the water seemed to boil... then a HUGE Dragon rose out of the sea, almost blocking out the sun, with it's enormous and majestic black wings. The air was filled with the gasps of the horrified onlookers, as well as the deep thud of the giant flapping wings.

The Dragon then targeted several ships, sending lethal fireballs right onto the decks & sails.

The Dragon then nestled up to the treasure, and continued to guard it.

The RAN members and the Pirates carefully circled the Dragon, looking for any weaknesses in it's defence.
The RAA fires shots from Britanicca.

(The briefing for today had recommended using cunning & stealth to over come the Dragon.)

Then, a most enterprising Pirate, Kaffe McMahon, slipped her Mer outfit on, and gently swam over to the Dragon. She gingerly approached him, and appeared to engage him in conversation.

The Dragon seemed distracted by this, and Pirate Oma Larnia saw an opportunity to take the treasure. She cautiously rowed over to the island, and approached from behind the Dragon.

Nerovosa Quandry also engaged the Dragon in conversation, and even invited the Dragon to join one of the factions!

Whilst the Dragon was enjoying the attentions of the beautiful Mermaid and the forth right sailor, Oma quickly grabbed the Treasure, and loaded it onto her ship.

She sailed out of Montego Bay as swiftly as the winds allowed, and as she looked back over her shoulder, she was amazed to see that she was being pursued by Barbarossa himself, sailing what seemed to be a ghost ship!!

Oma and the Treasure made it safely to port in Tortuga, and the Ghost of Barabossa quietly drifted back into the sea mist.

Well done to Oma, Kaffe & Nerovosa !!
Excellent strategies!

And a big thank you to Varlenn, our awesome Dragon!
You certainly added another dimension to our RP!

TY also to Quintus B & Sion T. for contributing to this article, and for all of the work that went into this.

A great article, Malibu! It is well written and provides a good summary of the Quest.

I admit, this Quest has not been easy. Shooting the baby Dragon was indeed not the best strategy for the factions to follow. Oma, Kaffe and Nervosa handled it smart and managed to retrieve the treasure. My compliments to them and a big big thank you to all members of the Antiquity Scenario group who have made the Quest for Barbarossa's Treasure a success!
