We are almost finished with a venue in Dunkerque sim where in addition to the existing cross country course in Britannica and pleasure trails in Finlanda, we have added a show jumping course, dressage arena, bronc riding arena, and pole bending course. We will be holding events weekly at 5 SL time, day yet to be determined. The events will allow folks to ride for fun or to participate in one of the two Championship events for some lively competition and prizes. As Dunkerque is a water sim, the venue there will only be open for riding when events are being held so as not to create lag for sailing. If you wish to just come and practice at the Dunkerque venue, you can contact me or Alexandra Lowenhart, and we will try to accommodate you. Cross country and pleasure riding is always available in Britannica.

The first category for Championship Competition will include: Cross Country Event, Show Jumping, and Dressage Test. The second category for Championship Competition includes: Over hill and dale Horse Race, Pole Bending, and Bronc Riding. We will alternate weeks when each event category takes place. All events will begin in Britannica where riders will register and receive their instructions. All events will likewise end in Britannica where the Champion will be named and awards given out for the individual events. Only registered riders can compete for Champion and must participate in all three events. If you want to just ride for fun, you can play in any area once all registered riders have completed the event. The courses in Dunkerque will remain open until after all the awards are given out at the end of the competition.

We will hold our first event in November and notice will be sent out here and to the 1800’s group to encourage new members. I am looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new in this venture. Tally Ho!
